Here are a few of his observation on tactics, firearms, self defense
and life as we know it in the civilized world.

Never let someone or thing that threatens you get inside arms length
and never say I got a gun. If you feel you need to use deadly
force for heaven’s sake let the first sound they hear be the safety
clicking off and they shouldn't have time to hear anything after that
if you are doing your job.

The average response time of a 911 call is over 3 minutes....the
response time of a .44 magnum is 1400 feet per second.'

The most important rule in a gunfight is: "Always win and cheat
If necessary."

"Don't forget, incoming fire has the right of way."

"Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. You may get

Illinois' Attorney General Lisa Madigan Fights To Make FOID Card Information Public

Just when we thought Illinois could not fall any further into the Democratic Abyss, Big-city left-wingers attempt to compromise the our second amendment rights. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is trying hard to use the "freedom Of Information Act" to rob gun owners of their privacy and put their families in grave danger. For those of you who live in a free state and don't know what a FOID card is, Illinois citizens are required by law to obtain a FOID (firearms Owner Identification) card in order to legally possess or purchase a firearm. Democrats are trying to sell the idea that everyone should have access to permit owners private information. As it stands now, the Illlinois State Police have access to this information in order to fight crime. If Democrats have their way every Killer, rapist, thief and child molester will be able to pull up gun owners private information. This will help criminals a great deal when they pick houses to rob. Thieves will target gun owners and resell the firearms to other criminals while rapist and murderers will be able to chose homeowners without permits. As outrageous as this all sounds, democrats will benefit by scaring people into not applying for permits in fear they might be targeted by criminals. Until Lisa Madigan is willing to give up her home phone number and address, Illinois gun owners deserve to protect their privacy. The citizens of Illinois need to contact their representatives and let their voice be heard.

The ridiculously attractive couple started dating in 2006 after meeting at a Versace photo shoot. Berry and Aubrey welcomed daughter Nahla Ariela in 2008.

The twice-divorced Berry once said of the relationship: "I feel more married now than I did in any of my actual marriages."

It's reportedly an amicable split, with the couple agreeing to joint custody of Nahla. Aubrey asked to keep a house in Canada that the couple bought together and Berry agreed, sources say.

Bret Michaels Has Massive Brain Hemorrhage, Rushed To Hospital

LOS ANGELES — Bret Michaels is in critical condition suffering from a brain hemorrhage, his publicist said Friday.

Joann Mignano, Michaels' New York-based publicist, confirmed a report on People magazine's website that said the former Poison frontman was rushed to intensive care late Thursday after a severe headache. The report said doctors discovered bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

Mignano said tests are being conducted but did not know where he was being treated.

The 47-year-old glam-rock reality TV star had an emergency appendectomy at a private care facility for diabetics last week after complaining of stomach pains before he was scheduled to perform at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas. Michaels later wrote on his website that though the surgery "has taken its toll," doctors expected him to make a full recovery.

Michaels is currently a contestant on the third season of Donald Trump's NBC competitive reality show, "The Celebrity Apprentice." For the first six episodes, Michaels served as a lighting rod for the show's male team, avoiding being fired in the boardroom.

Trump said in a statement Friday that he was "deeply saddened" to hear of Michaels' condition.

"He's a great competitor and champion, and I hope he will be fine," Trump said.

Before joining "The Celebrity Apprentice," Michaels starred as the lothario on VH1's lusty reality dating series "Rock of Love" from 2007 to 2009. For three seasons, Michaels searched for the women of his dreams amid a sea of implants, tattoos and thongs.

He also served as a judge on the fifth season of the USA singing competition "Nashville Star" in 2007

Lil Wayne is behind bars

Lil Wayne headed to his new home jail cell yesterday after he had extensive dental surgery… it’s just the fancy words his lawyer used to explain to the judge that dude needed like 12 root canals done in his mouth (ewwwww!)

Lil Wayne showed up at a courthouse and was taken away in handcuffs. It went down around 2:15 p.m. at the Criminal Courthouse, where a more sizable crowd than the one assembled the last two times Wayne was supposed to go to prison showed up to send him off.
Judge Charles H. Solomon read the charges, Wayne nodded to confirm he understood them, and he was handcuffed. Right before he was taken away, he looked over at his crew gave them a nod, too. He didn’t say a word the whole time. Out in the hallway, Birdman, Slim, and the rest of the crew loafed toward the elevators silently, looking visibly dejected. Outside, a few stray photographers and reporters milled around.
Wayne will be taken to Rikers, where in a best case scenario he’ll serve eight months of his one-year sentence for attempted gun possession.

In a recent interview with KIIS FM, Miley Cyrus confirmed her relationship with Liam Hemsworth and sent a message to her critics, possibly signaling out THG: Get a life!
"I may not be the best singer in the world, but I don't lip synch, I'm honest. I'm honest in acting, too," Miley said. "I'm doing what I like, people that are dogging me probably aren't, which is why they're down on me., I want to tell them ‘go get a hobby!'"
Ouch. We are, indeed, doing what we like, Miles. But we don't begrudge you a self-defense.

As for Hemsworth, Cyrus is confident that he's dating her for all the right reasons.

"I feel like I've been with people before, both in the public eye and out of the public eye, that may need something from me," she said. "He's not like that. He was already successful, he was already cast in the movie, he didn't need me for that. He doesn't need me to make him famous."

'Lost Boys' actor Corey Haim, whose career was blighted by drug use, dies at Calif. hospital

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Corey Haim, a 1980s teen heartthrob whose career was blighted by drug abuse, has died. He was 38. Haim died early Wednesday at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Los Angeles County coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie said.

"As he got out of bed, he felt a little weak and went down to the floor on his knees," Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said. His mother called paramedics.

An autopsy will determine cause of death. There was no evidence of foul play, police Sgt. Michael Kammert said.

Haim, who gained attention for roles in "Lucas" and "The Lost Boys," had flulike symptoms before he died and was getting over-the-counter and prescription medications, police Sgt. William Mann said.

"He could have succumbed to whatever (illness) he had or it could have been drugs," Mann said. "He has had a drug problem in the past."

Haim was taken by ambulance to the hospital from an apartment in Los Angeles near Burbank.

His friend, Corey Feldman, said he wept when he heard the news.

"This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family and best friend," he said in a statement. "We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference.

"I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived," Feldman said.

Haim acknowledged his struggle with drug abuse to a British tabloid in 2004.

"I was working on 'Lost Boys' when I smoked my first joint," he told The Sun. "I did cocaine for about a year and a half, then it led to crack."

Haim said he went into rehabilitation and was put on prescription drugs. He took stimulants and sedatives.

"I started on the downers, which were a hell of a lot better than the uppers because I was a nervous wreck," he said.

In 2007, he told ABC's "Nightline" that drugs hurt his career.

"I wasn't functional enough to work for anybody, even myself. I wasn't working," he said.

The Toronto-born actor got his start in television commercials at 10 and developed a good reputation for his work in such films as 1985's "Murphy's Romance" and his portrayal of Liza Minnelli's dying son in the 1985 television film "A Time to Live."

His career peaked when he became a heartthrob with his roles in the 1986 movie "Lucas" and "The Lost Boys" in 1987 in which he battled vampires.

In later years, he made a few TV appearances and had several direct-to-video movies. He also had a handful of recent movies that have not yet been released.

In 1997, Haim filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, listing debts for medical expenses and more than $200,000 in state and federal taxes.

His assets included a few thousand dollars in cash, clothing and royalty rights.

In recent years, he appeared in the A&E reality TV show "The Two Coreys" with Feldman. It was canceled in 2008 after two seasons. Feldman later said Haim's drug abuse strained their working and personal relationships.

Scott Baio is under fire for mocking First Lady Michelle Obama on Twitter.

Baio, 48, posted an unflattering picture of the First Lady on Tuesday accompanied by some even more unflattering remarks.Ex-"Happy Days" star Scott Baio says he's received a barrage of death threats after he mocked Michelle Obama on Twitter.

"WOW He wakes up to this every morning," Baio tweeted.

In minutes, the former "Charles in Charge" star received a slew of angry comments.

Some were on the playful side: "Well she's still better looking than your doughy looking a--."

Others were downright frightening.

"Easy to find your house Scottie boy and finish YOU," one person wrote. "I am a republican and I love Mrs O."

Baio backtracked immediately, saying he's not a racist. His wife's best friend is black.

The reality TV star and vocal Republican even posted a picture of the woman and implored his detractors to back off.

"For New followers: I POST A LOT OF JOKES WITH PICS," Baio wrote. "They are JUST that, a joke. NOT targeting anyone. Laughter IS the best medicine."

The brouhaha prompted Baio to contact the FBI and scores of people to begin following him on Twitter.

More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.

I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.

And the guy on the other side is me. Even cats can re cognize their own image.

(CNN) - Three members of the family of a Mexican marine who died in a shootout last week were killed Tuesday in the southern state of Tabasco, Mexican President Felipe Calderon said.

Marine 3rd Petty Officer Melquisedec Angulo Cordova was fatally shot during a gunbattle that resulted in the killing of Arturo Beltran Leyva, one of Mexico's most wanted drug lords. The killing of his family members has raised speculation in Mexico that it was an act of retaliation by the Beltran Leyva's drug cartel, CNN en Español reported.

Very early Tuesday, gunmen entered the family's home and opened fire, killing Angulo Cordova's mother, sister and a third relative, the state-run Notimex news agency reported. Angulo Cordova's brother was injured in the shooting, the agency said.

Angulo Cordova was the only military fatality in last week's operation against Beltran Leyva in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Six other drug cartel members also died in the confrontation.killedThe killings were "a cowardly and contempible act," Calderon said in a speech Tuesday. The talented and beautiful, Brittany Murphy has died, Los Angeles police and hospital officials said Sunday. She was 32.

Murphy was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. PT Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Sally Stewart told CNN Radio.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the death, and robbery and homicide detectives will be at her home, LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman said. No other details were immediately available.

"In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support," Murphy's publicist, Nicole Perna, said in a statement. "It is their wish that you respect their privacy."

Arturo Beltran Leyva, Leader of Mexican drug cartel killed

(CNN) -- The rapid thud-thud-thud of military choppers overhead on Wednesday was the first thing to catch the attention of the residents of Cuernavaca, a city south of Mexico City known as a retreat for city-dwellers and tourists alike.

The helicopters landed near Punta Vista Hermosa, a majestic resort where condos sell for millions of Mexican pesos, and before long, seemingly hundreds of military personnel were on its grounds.

A few hours later, a ferocious firefight broke out between the military and a cell of drug traffickers.

"Things like this rarely happen here," said Yadira Abigail Flores Delgado, who works at a nearby private security firm. "I could hear the shots and the helicopters. It was a very ugly incident."

The outcome, however, was sweet for the administration of President Felipe Calderon.

In a strong blow to one of Mexico's most notorious drug cartels, Mexico's navy killed Arturo Beltran Leyva, head of the Beltran Leyva cartel and one of Mexico's three most wanted criminals.

Six other cartel members and one naval petty officer also died in the raid. Three other people were arrested.

The end of Beltran Leyva's reign at the helm of the violent cartel was hailed by Mexico and the United States as a major victory for Calderon's offensive against the cartels, a war that has claimed more than 14,000 lives since 2006. More than 7,300 people have been killed in drug-related violence this year, according to a tally by Mexico's El Universal newspaper.

"This action represents a major achievement for the people and government of Mexico, and is a decisive blow against one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in Mexico," Calderon said, speaking from the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration said that its cooperation with Mexico played a role in Wednesday's action.

"[Beltran Leyva's] death has dealt a crippling blow to one of the most violent cartels in the world, and it comes as a result of significant cooperation and information sharing between law enforcement in the United States and our courageous partners in Mexico," DEA Acting Administrator Michele M. Leonhart said in a written statement.

Video footage of the condo where Beltran Leyva was staying revealed bullet-ridden walls. A plate of eggs and ham was set at the dinner table, which was adorned with two fruit bowls. A large baggie containing a white substance was nearby.

On Thursday, authorities presented to the media two women and a man who were arrested in the raid. Their role with the cartel was not made clear.

The women were identified as Catalina Castro Lopez and Gabriela Vega Perez. The man's name was not immediately released.

It was believed that the raid was linked to another operation last week.

On December 11, the navy got into a firefight in Cuernavaca with gunmen of the Beltran Leyva cartel. Three of the gunmen were killed and 11 were arrested, according to the navy.

Calderon said Wednesday's operation "was the result of an intense intelligence effort by the Mexican navy."

"We've never seen anything like this," Flores Delgado said. "Everyone is scared."

The fear was palpable at a children's hospital right behind the complex where the drug lord was killed.

Three military personnel posted themselves inside the hospital hours before the shooting started, saying only that they were in the middle of an operation, said Dr. Antonio Villa Montiel.

The shooting started just after 8 p.m. and lasted for about an hour and a half, about 30 minutes of which were very intense, Villa Montiel said.

"There was gunfire, machine gun fire and grenades, some of it very close to the hospital," he said. "Inside the hospital there was much stress, fear and anxiety. Some people even panicked."

Three navy personnel were wounded by hand grenades, one fatally, the navy said.

Navy 3rd Petty Officer Melquisedet Angulo Cordova died while being treated for his injuries, navy spokesman Adm. Jose Luis Vergara said. One of the other two navy men was in serious condition and the other was in stable condition, Vergara said.

"It's a battle won, but by no means the war," said Tony Payan, associate professor of political science at the University of Texas-El Paso.

The death of the leader of a major drug cartel is a victory for the government, but it could also spur more violence, said Payan, an expert on drug trafficking in Mexico.

For such a high-level blow by the military, reprisal killings by the cartel are a possibility, Payan said.

Violence could also flare from within the Beltran Leyva organization itself, as its lieutenants jockey for position in the inevitable reorganization.

Finally, rivals -- and maybe even allies -- of the cartel may fight for a piece of the organization's lucrative smuggling routes, Payan said.

Beltran Leyva and his organization rose in the Pacific state of Sinaloa, home to a powerful cartel of the same name.

Beltran Leyva and his brothers initially were allied with the Sinaloa cartel, headed by Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. A series of disputes over the past years, however, led the Beltran Leyva brothers to turn on El Chapo, or "shorty," and they have been most recently linked with Los Zetas, another violent cartel opposed to the Sinaloa group.

One of the Beltran Leyva brothers, Alfredo, was arrested by Mexican authorities last year and remains imprisoned. Another brother, Hector, was indicted on drug trafficking charges out of New York and Washington. The slain brother, Arturo, was also named in those indictments.

The Beltran Leyva cartel is known for air transportation expertise, Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman Michael Sanders said.

An estimate from two years ago said the group smuggled 300 to 400 kilograms of cocaine monthly into the United States, Sanders said. The group is also known to smuggle black tar heroin.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Treasury Department added Hector Beltran Leyva and other top cartel figures to a list of "specially designated narcotics traffickers," a move that freezes any assets they have under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits people in the United States from conducting business with them. Arturo Beltran Leyva was already identified as a kingpin in May 2008.

In the most recent addition, the U.S. government named 22 members of the Beltran Leyva organization and 10 related companies.

Since taking office, Calderon has made fighting the drug cartels a priority. More than 40,000 troops have been deployed throughout the country to help small and often corrupt local forces.

But it was the navy that made one of the biggest busts in the war on drugs.

The reason may be because after years in the field, the army was not as reliable as a fresh force.

"Calderon has finally understood two things: that the army is susceptible to corruption, and that the army is not sufficient," Payan said.

(CNN) -- Cincinnati Bengals football player Chris Henry died after a fall from the bed of a pickup during a fight with his fiancée, police said Thursday.

"Chris Henry died as a result of his injuries sustained during this incident," a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police news release said. "Department detectives continue to work diligently on this active investigation."

Henry died at 6:36 a.m. ET Thursday, the statement said.

Shortly before noon Wednesday, Henry's fiancée tried to drive off during a "domestic situation," only to have Henry jump into the bed of the truck, police said.

"The domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr.Henry," according to a police statement. Henry "came out of the back of the vehicle" about half a mile from the house, it said.

Authorities described Henry's injuries Wednesday night as "life-threatening." He was taken to the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Henry's fiancée's family lives in Charlotte, the Bengals team said. The couple was planning to marry in March, according to the Bengals' Web site.

The 26-year-old receiver played for the Bengals for five seasons but was on the injured reserve after suffering a dislocated forearm during a November 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Henry caught 12 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns in eight games before being hurt.

An article on the Bengals Web site called Henry "one of the best comeback stories in the NFL" before being injured, saying he had rebuilt "his life and career in a three-year climb from a series of off-field problems."

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Tiger Woods said he let his family down with "transgressions" he regrets "with all of my heart," and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors.
His statement Wednesday follows a cover story in Us Weekly magazine that reports a Los Angeles cocktail waitress claims she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer.
"I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves," Woods said on his Web site. "I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."
Woods did not offer details of any alleged relationship.
"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said.
"I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves," Woods said. "For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."
The cocktail waitress, Jaimee Grubbs, told the magazine she met Woods at a Las Vegas nightclub the week after the 2007 Masters — two months before Woods' wife, Elin, gave birth to their first child. Grubbs claims to have proof in 300 text messages.
About three hours before Woods' statement, the magazine published what it said was a voicemail — provided by Grubbs — that Woods left on her phone on Nov. 24, three days before his middle-of-the-night car crash outside his home in Florida.
Woods has been subjected to more media headlines during the last week than when he first won the Masters in 1997 and set off the first wave of Tigermania. He has spoken only three times through his Web site, although this was his longest posting.
"Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means," Woods said. "For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives."
And he continued to say accounts that physical violence played a role in his Friday morning car crash were "utterly false and malicious."
"Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect," he wrote.
His statement came one day after the Florida Highway Patrol closed its investigation into the accident — without Woods ever speaking to state troopers. He was charged with careless driving, which carries a $164 fine and four points on his driving record.
The story soon shifted from a patrol investigation to sordid allegations into his personal life.
In the voicemail released by the magazine, a man says to Grubbs:
"Hey, it's, uh, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone. My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."
The Associated Press could not confirm Woods was the caller.

Hide your valuables and lock up your liquor: Is that the warning that should herald a visit from Lindsay Lohan? Based on her reputation for having allegedly sticky fingers – with the latest claim from a bar that was nearly left holding the bill for bottles of bubbly – that may not be such a bad idea.

Lohan, 23, was partying at the Crown Bar in Los Angeles Nov. 6, and, according to one onlooker, caused quite a scene when asked to ante up for her drinks.

"Lindsay stormed into the kitchen and grabbed two bottles of really expensive champagne. She finished both bottles with a friend. When the bartender gave her a bill, she had a meltdown," says the source. "She was yelling at him and screaming profanities at everyone. The bar insisted she pay, so she had to call a friend with her credit-card information."

Before the actress left the club around 2:30 a.m., the onlooker says, "She was crying and wanted to go home. She kept saying 'I don't pay for drinks! This is ridiculous! I'm freaking out!' "

This wasn't the first time Lindsay has been at the center of a sticky-fingers controversy. Some $40,000 worth of Dior baubles went missing from Lindsay's U.K. Elle cover shoot in July, though her mom, Dina Lohan, maintained her daughter's innocence, and Elle later stated the magazine staff "had no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible."

In May 2007, Lohan avoided felony grand theft charges when there was insufficient evidence to back a woman's claim that the star had stolen her clothing.

(CNN) -- Alanis Morissette was the definition of "fierce" when she arrived on the American music scene with one of the big break-up songs of the '90s, "You Oughta Know." But behind that tough exterior were secrets of a difficult past.
"As a teen, I was both anorexic and bulimic," Alanis Morissette recently told Health magazine for its December issue. "I was a young woman in the public eye, on the receiving end of a lot of attention, and I was trying to protect myself from men who were using their power in ways I was too young to know how to handle."
By the time Morissette was 14, she had already starred in a popular Canadian children's show, started her own record label and had a publishing contract with MCA Canada, according to her Web site.
"Disappointment, sadness and pain hit me hard, and I tried to numb those feelings through my relationship with food. For four to six months at a time, I would barely eat. I lived on a diet of Melba toast, carrots, and black coffee," she said. "I began recovering at 18, when a sweet friend confronted me."
Now that she's older, Morissette, 35, said she's no longer starving herself and has begun to look at eating as "a sort of spiritual practice." Her healthier view of food and nutrition is thanks in no small part to a book she discovered a few years ago called "Eat to Live."
"It's become my bible, pushing me to completely reorient my thinking about what to put into my body. ... Now I concentrate on eating high-nutrient foods like fruit, nuts, collards, kale and spinach. I'm obsessed with them. I even put spinach in my smoothies," the Canadian musician admitted.
The seven-time Grammy Award winner has also sworn off dairy, on a tip from Woody Harrelson, no less. "Woody Harrelson [told] me I needed to get rid of the dairy in my fridge to clear up my skin," she said.
It's had a positive effect: Morissette said her skin "looks great now."
But all of that health consciousness doesn't mean Morissette has lost appreciation for the more delectable things in life. "Don't get me wrong," she said in the interview, "I still indulge in a glass of wine or chocolate -- treats are mandatory. Without deviating from the day-to-day healthy diet once in a while, it wouldn't be sustainable for me, and that's what I wanted: an approach to eating to last my entire life."
Resolving her issues with food and body image has helped Morissette to develop clarity in other areas of her life as well.
"I'm really clear about what my life mission is now. There's no more depression or lethargy, and I feel like I've returned to the athlete I once was. I'm integrating all the parts of me -- jock, musician, writer, poet, philosopher -- and becoming stronger as a result," she said.
"I hope my effort shows any woman battling an eating disorder or poor body image that she's not alone -- support is out there -- and inspires her to discover her inner athlete. It doesn't matter what your fitness-skill level is."

New York (CNN) -- Ashlee Simpson-Wentz wants people to stop calling her big sister Jessica fat, the singer-turned actress told Women's Health magazine.
"It's disgusting that people would say those things," Simpson-Wentz, who shows off her own svelte frame in the December issue of the magazine, said. "My sister has an incredible body. I feel sorry for anyone who would judge her, because she's one sexy lady."
Jessica Simpson has been scrutinized for her weight gain over the past year after she appeared in some unflattering photos at a chili cook-off in Florida in January.
The younger Simpson sister had a baby, Bronx Mowgli, with husband rock star Pete Wentz last year and shed her baby weight quickly. She said that although she is skinny now, she hopes that one day when she gains weight she will look as sexy as Jessica does.
"There's gonna be a time when I'm way curvier, and that'll be sexy, too," Simpson-Wentz said.
The Simpson sisters have been very vocal lately when it comes to snubs against their family. Last month, Jessica Simpson came to Ashlee's defense when she was fired from "Melrose Place," calling the show, "crap" through her Twitter account.

Actor Dennis Hopper diagnosed with prostate cancer

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Actor and filmmaker Dennis Hopper has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his manager Sam Maydew said Friday.
Hopper is being treated in a special program at the University of Southern California, according to CNN news affiliate KTLA.
He was expected to appear at an exhibition of his photography at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne but has cancelled in order to focus on treatment.
"We're hoping for the best," Maydew said. No other details were immediately available.
On September 30, Hopper was hospitalized in New York for flu-like symptoms and stomach pains. He was released the next day feeling "much better," according to KTLA.
The 73-year-old Academy Award winner is known for his roles in "Rebel Without a Cause," "Hoosiers," "Apocalypse Now" and "Easy Rider" -- the latter of which he also directed -- among scores of other films.
Hopper recently finished shooting the second season of the Starz drama "Crash," based on the 2006 Oscar-winning film.

Well is a relative term when you're talking about Amy Winehouse, but dad Mitch says she's doing well inside and out – including a recent breast enhancement.

Mitch Winehouse told British TV show This Morning that his daughter is, "Fantastic, fantastic. Her boobs are great as well." He then paused, smiled and said:

"I shouldn't have said that should I? She looks absolutely fantastic."

Asked if the operation really cost $56,000, as reported by some celebrity gossipsources, he shrugged, "I don't know. I didn't pay for it – that's all I know."

Good approach, Mitch.

It has been a turbulent period for the singer, who is now working on her third album. Supposedly. That's been what she's been saying for like two years.

She has been through a divorce, cleared of assault charges and spent many, many, months in St. Lucia as she sought to get healthy. Again, relative.

Mitch is right. Amy Winehouse looks totally fine to us here.

Mitch said she has been clean for a year, but by that he means free of crack and heroin, as she's been known to smoke weed every day. And drink beer.

"There is no total recovery," Mitch acknowledges. "It's just a recovery. If you look back to where we were just a year ago, we are on a different planet."

Getting rid of Blake Fielder-Civil had to play a part in that.

The elder Wino also addressed Members of Parliament, telling them his family had been fortunate to afford top clinics and doctors for Amy's treatment.

He is making a documentary about families coping with drug problems, and he was imparting some of experiences and anecdotes during his research.

His advice for families coping with addicts? "The best thing we can do for our loved ones who are addicted is to maintain a normal family atmosphere."

Boob jobs never hurt, either.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe this is happening! Kandi Burruss from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta has lost her fiance Ashley "AJ" Jewell last night that involved an incident outside of a nightclub.

"It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head," Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows told the TV station. Jewell was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Kandi's twitter feed reveals how the reality star feels about this situation.

Shawne Merriman may have sacked criminal charges, but it's not "lights out" just yet.

Hours after the San Diego District Attorney's office closed the case against the NFL star due to "insufficient evidence," it's safe to sayTila Tequila was less than thrilled about the outcome.

"Tila Tequila is the victim of a violent crime. The San Diego District Attorney's decision not to press charges against Shawne Merriman for the battering of Tila Tequila demonstrates an unconscionable negligence in the discharging of their public duties," her rep tellsTMZ. "We strongly feel that justice has not been served in this matter."

The criticism doesn't stop there. Tequila's statement calls out the economic interest the southern California beach town has in Merriman's well-being.

"Obviously, The San Diego Charger's NFL franchise brings millions of dollars in revenue to the city of San Diego, and it seems clear that other interests are being served by the D.A.'s office than the upholding of the law."

The publicist continues: "A young woman was violently beaten and choked, and the physical evidence is both overwhelming and disturbing. Tila's account of the events has remained consistent from the beginning, while Merriman's story has changed repeatedly."

As for what's to come, Tequila fully intends to pursue civil action against the linebacker:

"Just because the DA has made this reckless decision doesn't mean that justice will not be served in this case. No one is above the law," wraps up the rep, "Tila Tequila will immediately begin pursuing civil charges against Mr. Merriman and she will have her day in court."

Merriman, 25, has said he was merely attempting to keep his then-girlfriend safe from driving home while intoxicated and received good news on Friday afternoon when the D.A. determined that there was not enough evidence to press criminal charges.

Police find bone fragment near CA suspect's home

ANTIOCH, Calif. – Police said Monday they found one small bone fragment on the property next door to the home of a Northern California man charged with kidnapping a little girl and hiding her in his backyard for 18 years.

Authorities revealed the discovery after FBI and local law enforcement agencies in the San Francisco Bay area finished combing Phillip Garrido's property in Antioch and the one next door for possible links to unsolved crimes in the area.

Garrido, 58, and his wife, Nancy, 54, were arrested last week and charged with 29 counts connected to the kidnapping, rape and imprisonment of Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was snatched outside her home in South Lake Tahoe in 1991. They have pleaded not guilty.

The bone fragment was found Sunday in the next door neighbor's backyard, said Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jimmy Lee. Garrido once lived on that property in a shed. Neighbors say he once worked as the property caretaker and helped out an elderly man who lived there several years ago.

Lee said it would take several weeks of testing to determine if the recovered shard belonged to an animal or a human. Investigators recovered several other pieces of evidence during the four days they spent searching the two parcels with shovels and cadaver-sniffing dogs.

Antioch and Contra Costa County authorities have not provided many details about what they are seeking at the properties in relation to other cases. The land includes the backyard compound of tents and sheds where Garrido and his wife allegedly hid Dugard and her two daughters, now 11 and 15, fathered by Garrido.

Police in the nearby city of Pittsburg, however, have said they are investigating whether Garrido, who served over 10 years in federal prison for raping and kidnapping a Nevada woman in 1976, was involved in the murders of prostitutes in the 1990s.

Garrido's victim in the rape case, Katie Callaway Hall, said during an interview on "Larry King Live" Monday that she was scared and distressed when she found out he was paroled from prison in 1988. Under the terms of his 50 years to life sentence, she thought the soonest he would get out was 2006.

Callaway Hall said that when Garrido surfaced last week in Dugard's kidnapping, she trembled for hours with relief and anger.

"The only thing I can think of worse than what happened to me, is it happening to my child," she wrote on a blog that accompanied the television interview. "I can't imagine what Jaycee is going through. He had me for 8 hours. He had her for 18 years. I was an adult, with instincts that helped me deal with the situation. She was a child. This is going to be with her for the rest of her life. I can only wish her the best."

Another woman from Garrido's past also came forward with a harrowing tale. Christine Murphy, who said she was married to Garrido from 1973 until after his rape conviction, told "Inside Edition" that her ex-husband was a violent drug abuser who once dug a safety pin into her face in a pique of jealousy.

"I was always looking for a way to get away," Murphy said of her brief marriage to a man she had met in high school in Contra Costa County. The couple later lived in Reno, where Callaway Hall was raped and a stone's throw from where Dugard was kidnapped in South Lake Tahoe.

Meanwhile, an FBI agent who spent 18 years on Dugard's kidnapping case says the Garridos never were considered suspects.

Special Agent Chris Campion said the bureau exhausted thousands of leads about Dugard's whereabouts, sometimes with the help of confidential informants and court-ordered wiretaps.

Yet Campion said in the interview posted on the FBI Web site Friday that Phillip and Nancy Garrido "just did not come up on the radar screen."

"We've gone through and checked our records and my memory is no, we didn't have any thing that remotely was close to these people," Campion said. "We can tell you several thousands of people that didn't kidnap Jaycee Lee Dugard."

The secrets of the Garrido home began to surface early last week when Garrido arrived for a meeting with hisparole officer with his wife, Dugard, now 29, and the two girls. Authorities say he confessed to snatching Dugard in 1991.

Over the years, Campion said he made a point of calling Dugard's mother every year on Dugard's birthday. He was the one who called to give her the news that her daughter was alive and he was present last week when they were reunited.

"It was a very emotional scene — both of them were just overjoyed to be with each other again," he said. "There's going to be a period of adjustment, no doubt, but they're doing very well at this point. And the two daughters are probably as happy as Jaycee is to be part of this family as well."

(People.com) -- As the pieces are still being put together to identify the cause of Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's death, a police source tells PEOPLE that on Friday, August 28, the day he was later discovered dead in his Manhattan apartment, the celebrity deejay had sent his last text message to two friends at 1 a.m.

Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein arrived at the launch of the "DJ Hero" video game in June.

The subject of his message was his scheduled Las Vegas, Nevada, gig that very Friday night at the Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel -- but he never made it.

Sixteen hours after Goldstein texted, a friend called 911 because Goldstein had failed to answer his cell phone and, when it was time for him to leave for his flight, his two traveling companions could not reach him.

After the NYPD broke down the door to his SoHo apartment, says a police source, they found the lifeless Goldstein in bed, wearing sweatpants, and a crack pipe nearby. They also discovered a half bag of crack cocaine and prescription drugs.

On Saturday, the New York City Medical Examiners office announced that after an initial autopsy proved "inconclusive," more tests, including a toxicology report that might require weeks, would be performed.

Goldstein, who often talked about his past struggles with drug abuse, claimed he had been off drugs for 11½ years. Last year, he narrowly escaped alive from a plane crash that left four dead.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Nearly a year after surviving a plane crash in South Carolina, disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found dead in his New York apartment Friday afternoon, his publicist said. He was 36.

Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was one of two people who survived a 2008 plane crash in South Carolina.

"The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear," his publicist, Jenni Weinman, said in a statement confirming the performer's death. "Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time."

Goldstein was found unconscious and unresponsive in his lower Manhattan apartment Friday afternoon, New York police said. The cause of death would be determined by medical examiners, but "there is no criminality suspected at this time," a police statement reported.

Goldstein and Travis Barker, the former drummer for rock band Blink-182, were the only survivors of a September plane crash in South Carolina that left both critically injured. Four others aboard the plane were killed when the Learjet skidded off a runway during takeoff from Columbia. "Daily I live with the guilt and grief of what happened that night, what I saw, who was lost and why I was spared," he wrote in a December post on his Web site. "I have no words to express the pain that comes with knowing four people died, while I lived."

In addition to spinning beats at clubs and festivals, Goldstein was known for dating reality-TV star Nicole Richie and singer-actress Mandy Moore. "I am absolutely heartbroken," Moore said in a statement. "For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend. To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement. My heart goes out to his loved ones."

At the time of his death, he had been working on an MTV show about drug addiction that had been scheduled to debut in October. Goldstein himself had been a crack cocaine addict who said he wanted the show to help others recover.

Police probe burglary at Lindsay Lohan's L.A. home

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Police were called for the second time in three months to the Hollywood Hills homeof actress Lindsay Lohan on Sunday to investigate a burglary there.

No one was home during the break-in, which Lohan discovered after the fact, according to an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood station. He gave no other details except to say that no arrests had been made.

A statement from the performer's publicist, Leslie Sloane, said "many of (Lohan's) personal belongings were taken without remorse" in the break-in, which police said was reported at about 6:30 a.m. local time.

The celebrity news website TMZ.com reported that the actress found things amiss after coming home at about 3 a.m. and called her father, Michael Lohan, who called police.

He told TMZ that a safe was ripped off a wall in the home and that a couple of watches were taken, and that he believes the theft was "an inside job" because employees for his daughter had failed to turn on the house burglar alarm.

"I'm not going to put up with individuals violating my family," the father was quoted as saying. "This is a personal violation and it has got to stop."

TMZ also cited an unnamed source as saying three men can be seen in a surveillance video breaking into Lohan's home. Sloane said the house has a surveillance system as that "police are in custody of the footage."

Lohan's mother, Dina, told People magazine's website that a door was found off its hinges with handles removed. "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken, too," she said. "Thank God she wasn't home." She said Lohan already was planning to move to "a safer place."

A previous burglary attempt was reported there in May, police said. According to TMZ the suspects in that incident apparently were frightened off by the alarm, but not before intruders were captured on videotape trying to gain entry.

A number of media reports at the time quoted police as saying officers initially thought the house had been ransacked but determined that the place was just messy.

The 23-year-old actress has sought lately to rebuild her career after a string of high-profile personal problems that included a 2007 conviction for drunken driving and cocaine possession. Last month, she starred in a ABC Family television movie and launched a new TV and film production company with her fashion-line partner.

Suspect in model's murder found dead in Canada

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a reality TV contestant suspected in his wife's slaying in California, was found dead in a hotel room in British Columbia, Canadian and U.S. authorities said Sunday.

Sgt. Duncan Pound announced Sunday that the body of Ryan Jenkins was found in a Canadian hotel.

Hotel staff in the town of Hope found Jenkins' body, and preliminary evidence indicates that Jenkins committed suicide, Sgt. Duncan Pound of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police told reporters late Sunday.

Jenkins was found in the hotel room, dead by hanging, said Farrah Emami, spokeswoman for the district attorney in Orange County, California.

No other details about Jenkins' death were immediately released.

Earlier Sunday, Canadian authorities said they had credible information that Jenkins was in Canada and called on him to turn himself in. He was believed to be armed and dangerous.

The nude body of Jenkins' wife, former swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore, was found last weekend in Orange County, California. CNN has not confirmed reports that the marriage was annulled.

Fiore's body was found last Saturday in a Dumpster behind an apartment complex in Buena Park, just outside Anaheim, California. Her teeth had been extracted and fingers removed in what police said was an apparent attempt to conceal her identity.

Law enforcement sources have told CNN that Fiore was identified through the serial numbers on her breast implants.

Fiore lived in Los Angeles and was last seen alive in San Diego at a poker game with Jenkins, the night before the body was found.

The body was identified Monday as Fiore. While the cause of death had not been confirmed, a preliminary coroner's report indicated she was strangled.Jenkins reported Fiore missing last Saturday night to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, authorities said.

According to court records in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jenkins was charged in June with battery for allegedly striking Fiore in the arm with his fist.

And in 2007, Jenkins pleaded guilty in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to assault in a separate case. He was sentenced to 15 months probation, ordered to undergo counseling for domestic violence and sex addiction and to stay away from the person involved, according to court records.

Jenkins, who appeared on the VH1 show "Megan Wants a Millionaire," is from Calgary. 51Minds, which produced "Megan Wants a Millionaire," said Thursday in a written statement that it "was not aware of Ryan Jenkins' record when it cast him.

"The company did have in place what it thought was a thorough vetting process that involved complete background checks by an outside company for all contestants on its shows," it said. "Clearly, the process did not work properly in this case. 51 Minds is investigating what went wrong and taking steps to ensure that this sort of lapse never occurs again."

LOS ANGELES -- Police say they have found the body of a swimsuit model who disappeared several days ago.Jasmine Fiore, 28, was last seen about 2:00 p.m. Thursday at her home in the 800 block of Edinburgh Avenue, near Melrose Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and her mother, Lisa Lepore. On Tuesday, police identified Fiore as the woman whose body was discovered in a suitcase behind an apartment complex in Buena Park. There are reports that Fiore was strangled. Now authorities are searching for a man considered a person of interest in her murder. The man is identified as Ryan Alexander Jenkins. He is reportedly a contestant on the VH1 reality show, 'Megan Wants a Millionaire." Buena Park PD has been trying unsuccessfully to contact him and fear he may be on the run. Police fear the 32-year-old Jenkins, a resident of Canada, may be trying to flee the country.

He may be driving a BMW X5 with Canadian plates HLY275 or Fiore's missing car, a white 2007 Mercedes CL S550 with black rims, tinted windows and paper plates that read "Platinum Motors."

Fiore is from the Las Vegas area and recently moved to Los Angeles to open a personal training business, police said.

Lepore says her daughter is well known in some circles because she has appeared as a model in advertising for radio personality Howard Stern and Las Vegas hotels.

She has also worked for Playboy as a representative and coordinator for "Girls of Golf."

(CNN) -- The son of a Florida couple known for adopting special-needs children was in his parents' room when they were slain in a home invasion last month, according to documents released by prosecutors.

Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr., 35, is one of seven people charged with murder.

A nurse who works with special-needs children interviewed the boy, who has autism and speech issues, regarding the deaths of Byrd and Melanie Billings. The nurse told police that the child said "two bad men" were wearing black masks when they knocked on the door. They woke Byrd Billings and said, "You're going to die."

The child, whose age was not given, said one of the men counted to three "before he shot mom and dad," and his father kept screaming, "No way, no way."

Byrd Billings grabbed the back of one man's neck and struggled with him before he was shot, the child said. The boy said Melanie Billings "got shot in her shirt."

Another child told the same nurse he was upstairs in bed and stayed in his room when he heard the knock on the door. The second boy recalled hearing "seven booms" and crept into the hallway. He heard Melanie Billings scream, he said, but stayed upstairs until police arrived.

It was unclear from the interviews whether the men knocked on the bedroom door or the front door of the home.

The Billingses were shot and killed July 9 in their Beulah, Florida, home. Seven males are charged with first-degree murder and home invasion robbery. An eighth suspect, a woman, faces a charge of being an accessory after the fact. The seven males, including a 16-year-old charged as an adult, pleaded not guilty to the charges last week.

The children's accounts were contained in hundreds of pages of documents released this week by the state attorney's office as part of the pretrial discovery process.

Also in the documents is a police interview with Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr., 35, one of the seven suspects and the man police believe was the organizer of the slayings. Two of the other suspects told authorities he was the lone gunman, according to court documents.

Gonzalez told authorities in a July 22 interview that a group of car dealers did not like Byrd Billings and had gotten together to discuss the problem. Used car dealer Henry "Cab" Tice came to him, Gonzalez said, and told him the group wanted Billings killed, but he refused to do it.

Another son of Billings told police that a man named "Cab" had "double-crossed" his father and that the son was present when the two men argued.

Tice has been questioned but not charged in the slayings. He is charged, however, with one count of grand theft for allegedly writing a series of bad checks to Billings, authorities have said. Various interviews in the documents point to a close relationship between Tice and Gonzalez.

Also released by prosecutors was a transcript of a police interview with Tice in which he acknowledged accepting a $20,000 loan from a man he later learned was connected with the Mexican Mafia. Tice said he was told his family could be killed if the money was not repaid. Police had previously said Tice was believed to owe the Mexican Mafia money.

Contacted by CNN Tuesday, Tice refused comment. But in an interview Monday with CNN affiliate WEAR, Tice said Gonzalez's comments about him constitute an "act of a desperate man."

"There is nobody that I know in Pensacola that would want to see Bud Billings killed," Tice told WEAR, using Billings' nickname. "There are business people in Pensacola that are upset with him, that were upset with him, but nobody that I know would want to see Bud Billings killed."

The Billingses each had two biological children and had adopted 13 children. Police have said nine of the children were home during the slayings and several were believed to have seen the gunmen. One child managed to flee the home and seek help from a neighbor.

Autopsy reports also were released. They showed that the Billingses were shot multiple times. Byrd Billingsalso had a white zip tie on his left arm, according to the report.

The eighth suspect in the case, Pamela Wiggins, was taken back into custody Monday after her bond was raised from $10,000 to $500,000. Authorities said they found a safe belonging to the Billingses in Wiggins' backyard. That safe contained prescription medications, family documents and jewelry and was taken from the home during the slayings.

Family members have since confirmed that a second safe was in the home and that it contained $164,000, antique jewelry and legal documents. The second safe was not taken.

The released documents also said that safe contained a sealed hard drive, a detail not previously revealed. The Billings family agreed to allow authorities access to that hard drive, according to the documents.

Prosecutors believe there were dual motives in the killings: robbery and a contracted hit, a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN last month. The source said prosecutors were working under the belief that most of the suspects in the case were told only that they were robbing the Billingses, but that Gonzalez and other yet-unnamed suspects also were plotting to kill the couple. The source was not sure of the alleged motive behind the slayings.

Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan has said publicly his office believes a contract hit was a possibility. The state attorney's office said last month it was focusing on the robbery, but was willing to consider other motives.
